March 21, 2021 @ 4:00 pm - 5:15 pm EDT

“Background Czech – Surprising Discoveries in Czech Opera”
The operas of Antonín Dvořák and Bohuslav Martinů
We can’t talk of Dvořák without his timeless “RUSALKA”, and we will also visit his hilarious “THE DEVIL and KATE” and nostalgic “THE JACOBIN”. We will conclude with an unknown gem: Martinů’s “THE GREEK PASSION”, written to an English libretto, which is one of the greatest operatic masterpieces written after the Second World War.
