Early Modern Furniture Design 1900-1960

Michael Guido will trace modern furniture design from the early 1900s to today, examining how form, function, and aesthetics have evolved. Participants will study styles, materials, techniques, and key movements—from Art Deco and Bauhaus to Mid-Century Modern and contemporary trends—while exploring influential designers like Frank Lloyd Wright, Gerrit Rietveld, Lilly Reich, Marcel Breuer, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Charles and Ray Eames, Eero Saarinen, Isamu Noguchi, Arne Jacobsen, Charlotte Perriand, and Eileen Gray.
