The Ballets Russes
From Russia came the impulse that reanimated ballet in western Europe. For the ballet season in 1909 the impresario Serge Diaghilev brought a company to Paris called the Ballets Russes that was made up of prominent dancers from the Imperial Ballet. A wonderful talk and expose of this most famous ballet company, the Russian emigres and the famous dancers of the period.
