In advance of your trip to the van Gogh in America exhibition, we trace the story of Van Gogh’s life and work through some of the key images in this collection of 90 major works with art historian Lydia Bauman.
Art historian, artist and lecturer at the National Gallery, Lydia was born in Poland and is now based in London. She studied Fine Art at Newcastle University and Art History at the Courtauld Institute, specialising in Matisse and 19th–20th century European and American art. She has lectured at the Tate, National Portrait Gallery and at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston and Arts Club of Chicago, USA. She is a regular guest lecturer for the Arts Society, Martin Randall Travel, Cox & Kings, Kirker Holidays and Noble Caledonia cruises. She is the author of forthcoming Guide to Great Themes of Art.
