US Influence in the World
Since 1945, the US has been the strongest power that the world has ever witnessed. China and Russia can claim to be rivals but neither possesses the same staggering assets. What are these assets? Do they come with disadvantages? Isolationist for most of its history, why did the US enter the global scene after WWII? How costly/profitable has this been? What are America’s strengths and weaknesses today and (more fundamentally) is it a stable power or one in decline? Have we reached the end of the Pax Americana?
