Menage a Trois – Jules Pascin/Hermine David (his wife) and Lucy Krohg

Bulgarian Jewish artist Jules Pascin, dubbed “the Prince of Montparnasse” was a leading figure of the Ecole de Paris between the wars. On his suicide in 1930, he scrawled a message of farewell in blood on his studio wall to his mistress and model Lucie Krohg and left his estate to be divided between Lucie and his wife, the gifted artist Hermine David. Later in life the two women became devoted companions.
