Join Patrick Bade for an exciting look at one of the best known Expressionist artists Edvard Munch

It could be argued that art changed more rapidly and profoundly in the first quarter of the twentieth than ever before or since. There was an explosion of “isms” leading up to and just after World War I and the three major movements of Expressionism, Cubism, and Surrealism determined the course of Western art for the rest of the twentieth century. .

Munch’s “The Scream” is one of the best known and most influential images in the history of Western art but the artist had much more to offer

In the series:

Tues. Jan. 25: Expressionism
Tues. Feb. 1: Abstract art
Tues. Feb. 8: Surrealism
Tues. Feb. 15: Munch
