Chris is a Senior Advisor at Hatch Ltd, a global consulting engineering and project management group. He has held a wide range of global board, management and technical positions.
He is a director of the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame, a past director of the Canada-China Business Council, a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, and Past President of The Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum.
At the Royal Ontario Museum, he has served on the executive committees of the Royal Patrons Circle and the Bishop White Committee and twice as their annual Lecturer.
At Hatch he was responsible for operations in China, for Knowledge Management, for Technology Development, for South America and global Business Development. He initiated the Sustainability and Climate Change practices. He had over 25 years of heavy industrial project experience.
He chaired the Federal Task Force on the privatizing part of NRCan and sat on their Green Mining and Industrial Advisory Boards.
He was a board member of the Consulting Engineers of Ontario and has served on boards for not-for-profits, university advisory boards plus private and public companies.
He has over 80 publications and contribution to 7 books.
