Rosamund Bartlett is a writer and translator with a background in Russian studies whose work ranges across the arts, and across the cultures of Europe. The author of several books, she has also published acclaimed translations of Tolstoy’s Anna Karenina and Chekhov’s stories for Oxford World’s Classics. She has written on music, literature and art for organisations such as the Royal Opera House, the Tate and the Salzburg Festival, and lectured all over the world, from the V&A in London to the Art Gallery of New South Wales in Sydney. She is a regular guest for opera and Proms concerts broadcasts on BBC Radio 3.
