WW1 was a catastrophe for the Czarist Empire which led to its downfall and the ultimate triumph of Bolshevism. The Jewish population was enveloped in the civil wars and Pogroms that ravaged the area. A disproportionate number of revolutionaries were born Jewish. This is their story.
